Showering with your baby-toddler

So my nieces boy just turned a year. And like any parent you throw your son in the shower with dad to get him a supervised shower....
So My niece hears her boyfriend yelling for her to come get the boy in desperate tones.
She races in there only to find her boyfriend back into a corner trying to cover his man parts with their son reaching up trying to grab it.
She started laughing uncontrollably with him yelling "take him!"
She said no through uncontrollable laughter because one it was funny and two the kid needed a bath.
Yup, now you men have some sort of idea of what us poor women deal with with curious young children.

Spring Break at Hogle Zoo 3-28-2014

So my son is off for spring break.
We grabbed his cousins and Ran off to the Zoo...
What makes them smile, makes us smile....

My boy & his Dog

• My boy and his dog... I realized I hadn't heard him in a few minutes. I found him outside filling his dogs water bowl... with out being asked to. Good Kid!
  
  And then the dog jumped into her dog dish and start playing in the water.  I  watched my son bite her in the head because he had just filled it up and he was angry she got it dirty..... can't imagine where he gets that from.... 
  
  Unless you think just because his mom & grandfather both used to bite dog back when they bit them as children has anything to do with it...
  
  

  

How my 5 year old beat the heat,,

So as of late, my son, sneaks out back to do this......

....After he bathes, my tub look like the bottom of a pond... *SMILE*.... I love my boy!

Child's Play

My son is recovering from his hand injury. We took a walk through Memory Grove Utah.

He got a five minute cat nap while we were going over to Suicide Rock and he out lasted me.... I want his energy!

My son & I went out to breakfast with his aunt. While we were paying my son asked to go over to the waiting bench. I said "yes". They he started running up & down the bench and then put his hands all over the windows. "Stop that! You're getting the windows dirty." The guy at the counter said "It's OK. I have to wash them anyway." I said "Thanks, but I don't him to do it anywhere else either."
This older lady turns, looks at me in astonishment and say "That's not something you hear these days. Good for you!" I smiled and asked "You mean someone telling their kid to behave?" She pretty much said "yes" and that most people let them run wild and misbehave. I said My Grandmother would have smacked me upside the head for doing the things kids do these days. She said hers too.

But in the end of all this is that it's good to know someone thinks I'm doing something right with my kid. Especially a complete stranger.

Bandage change was brutal....

Bandage change was brutal.... 

His bandage stuck to his stitches. We couldn't touch it with out him screaming, so we left it hanging while we called Primary Children's for suggestions.. which they came back with the same one that came to mine and rays mind.. only I didn't voice it cause they told us expressly not to get his hand wet... Yeah, drop drops of water on it and let it soak a little... Ha ha ha.... So I went to go get the boy, who started freaking out again.... Then I told him to come with me and do you know what that little turd did?! He pop's off with "I got it off mommy!" I turn and look, and sure enough he took it off himself with out so much as a whimper about it. That boy will one day have a chance at a great acting career don't you think?

 

 That doesn't look anywhere near as bad as as when it was opened and un-stitched...

My poor baby...
