It's Halloween Time Again at Gardner Village! 2014

It's that time again...
Where we look for Halloween themed things to do with our children..
We gave Gardner Village a shot again after last years fiasco. While their activities greatly improved,
here are a few things you ought to know.

1. All the little skits are gone that we once were entertained by.
2. It's now basically a giant playground for the kids.
3. It's $6 dollars a head. Even for the parents to go in and chaperone their kids in a playground and keep them out of mischief. Yup! While it's a kid base activity, they charge the adults to go in with them. Long gone are the days of the witches and the little skits they'd act out.

On the other hand. Kids have a completely excited blast in the play area. Especially on the new jump pillow. Adults can jump too, but Mom the photographer was taking pics....
They have a hay maze, several slide and a candy corn box to play in (dried corn to play in like a sandbox). There is a dance area as well.

The pony ride are back again this year! You have the option of putting them on the pony carousel (that will never happen for my boy as long as they have the other one) and the Pony ride around Garner Village.
The Pony Ride around the village is the ride of choice for most. If you're luck enough to get the owner of 'The Farm at Gardner Village' you're in for a treat! He's entertaining and fun. He's charming with the children and crack many a joke. He says hi to everyone as he passes and teacher the girls to wave as they go by and the boys to tip a cowboy hat at the ladies!

Enough of my talking, how about a few photos courtesy of Tashee Photography..

Bunny Prints

So the Easter Bunny Prints were a HUGE Success.
I guess he woke up in the night, started walking out of his room and ray saw him turn his head straight to the floor and asked "Did you see these?" Ray said "Yes, Mom set an Easter Bunny Trap to see if he was here."
So the next morning Ray Ray woke up Earlier than normal and started showing us the footprints he found the night before. I asked if he followed them? He said "no" So the two of us started following the bunny footprints back and forth to the living room and eventually all around the house to the kitchen where the Easter Bunny Left his basket on a kitchen chair before hurriedly jumping out our window. I pointed out that he was on his chair too. Ray Ray say's "IT'S OK!" With Bright wide eyes. He' talked about it for about an hour and a half and then finally started playing with his toys. LOL! LOVE IT!

Bunny Print Template

I used Carpet deodorizer by Armon Hammer to make the prints. I figured I had to vacuum anyway...
This left a night pleasant smell in the house to boot!
I just placed the template and sprinkled. Move the templates to a new place and repeated.
You can use any powder, Baby powder,  chalk (for colors), corn starch etc etc.. You get the point.
